Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I hope to use this blog to share a bit about myself and my perspective on family nutrition, breastfeeding or otherwise.
I have worked with food and families, in one capacity or another, for almost 20 years. From teaching kids science through cooking classes in Santa Cruz, to studying culinary arts in Buenos Aires, to clinical nutrition at children's hospitals in the Bay area, to now running a private practice based in the Eastern Sierra of California -- food and nutrition have always been my anchor. I also have two kiddos who have probably done more to teach me about pediatric nutrition and breastfeeding than all of my other work and formal education combined!
At Sierra Family Nutrition, I feel like I get to put it all together, spending more time one-on-one with families to help them reach their health and feeding goals. My approach is a bit different than in the larger institutions I’ve worked for. Quite simply, YOU are my number one. My only objective is providing you the support you need to meet your goals -- not patient quotas, not administrative tasks, not research time. Usually this means a shorter waitlist, frequent visits and more availability over secure chat between visits, when needed.
Not to mention that I'm credentialed with most major insurance companies, including most Medi-Cal plans.
Affordable care. Not grifty. Not mediocre. That's what I'm about.
If you have questions on how I might be able to support your family, please don't hesitate to reach out!
